Painter, watercolorist and printmaker, Valdes works are often unconventional both in subject matter and execution.  He has had numerous solo shows and participated in over 50 group exhibitions during his career.  He is in important private and public collections, including the Department of State, The Neuberger Museum and the New York Public Library Print Collection.
