"The transformation of an object into art is a process that insists that the creator of the work has vision combined with a highly defined sense of craft. Ken Gregg is one of these artists. He masterfully transports us into his sophisticated world of lush, elegant vignettes, making our experience with his art a rich and memorable one." Dennis High, Curator, Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, CA
Ken develops a body of work as part of an on-going series. His painterly style, using a minimum of digital manipulation, creates sensitive and contemplative images well-suited for both hospitality and residential decor.
Here's a sampling of images from four different series:
Asia - a triptych of Koi , shimmering in vibrantly colored, tightly cropped compositions.
Tableau - A diverse collection of 25 pastel floral images in a watercolor motif, created with Polaroid transfer process.
Royalty 2 - from his Found Objects series. Series of 12 images of ornate royal court figures found on reproductions of vintage playing cards.
Missions - 20 images. Pictorials capturing the peaceful essence and golden warmth of the California missions.
