My ceramic work is focused on the balance between raw natural surfaces coupled with very intentional form. I strive to distill the essense of a shape, and get it down to the core of its being. All my forms are vessels. The idea of holding, containing, protecting something inside - has a meaning beyond physical. The visible form, and the more hidden space within evolves as each piece comes into existence, developing a personality of its own. Much like all of us.
